Feasibility Study – METRO Unified Header Redesign
Challenge
The existing header structure across METRO platforms lacks visual consistency and flexibility. Bucket navigation is not optimized for engagement, and the header height consumes too much vertical space, limiting content visibility – especially on mobile.
Approach
This concept study explored three possible UI redesign directions to improve usability, brand alignment, and interaction:
My Role
As UI Lead, I developed the conceptual directions, defined interaction principles, visual treatments, and alignment to METRO's design system. The concepts were built for internal evaluation as a base for further user testing and stakeholder feedback.
Result
The study outlines a flexible foundation for a scalable, brand-consistent header system. Next steps could include prototyping, A/B testing on CTR (per bucket), and roll-out planning for international markets.
