Challenge
The previous search system required users to manually select a search bucket before entering a query, causing confusion, high abandonment rates, and inefficient navigation. The goal was to remove bucket selection and introduce a multi-channel search, ensuring users find relevant results without extra steps.
Approach
We analyzed search behavior, developed prototypes, and tested a new unified search experience that automatically categorizes results. A/B testing compared the manual bucket selection with the new multi-channel search, guiding users seamlessly across Metro Market, M.Shop, and Info Services.
My Role
As Lead UX/UI Designer, I analyzed search patterns, designed new UI concepts, collaborated with developers, and conducted A/B testing to measure impact and refine the search experience.
